How do we future-proof real estate?

At Storebrand, sustainability is deeply integrated into the property life-cycle - from acquisition, through asset management and to refurbishment.

40% of emissions come from real estate: We must act now

Real estate is one of the major CO2 emitters, accounting for almost 40% of global energy-related CO2 emissions and 35% of global energy consumption. A growing population coupled with continued urbanisation, boasts the importance of a resilient and energy efficient real estate sector.

Storebrand Sustainability Award: Promoting the superstars

Storebrand Real Estate wants to be a driving force for the green shift in commercial real estate. In 2021 we established Storebrand Sustainability Award. We want to recognise and pay homage to the real estate superstars - those who challenge established norms and share their knowledge to drive sustainability in the real estate industry.

Storebrand Sustainability Strategy

The transition to a low-carbon society, with increased regulations and requirements, represents an opportunity. Our goal is to turn these opportunities into attractive returns, while promoting the UN's sustainability goals and reducing sustainability risk.

Historical returns are no guarantee of future returns. Future returns will depend, among other things, on market developments, the manager's skills, the fund's risk profile and management fees. The returns can be negative as a result of price losses. There is risk associated with investments in the fund due to market movements, developments in currency, interest rates, economic conditions, industry- and company-specific conditions. Before investing, customers are advised to familiarize themselves with the fund's key information and prospectus, which contains further information about the fund's characteristics and costs.
