Jan Erik Saugestad

    Saugestad is a highly respected advocate for sustainable investments. His visionary approach on sustainable investments and a more sustainable society combined with in-depth knowledge of financial markets has made him a very sought-after panelist and speaker.

    He has broad asset management experience and knowledge gained over the years holding high profile positions within the industry in companies such as Nordea, Handelsbanken and McKinsey.

    Prior to his current role as CEO of Storebrand Asset Management, Saugestad was the Chief Investment Officer and Head of Asset allocation.

    He holds a Master of Science from NTNU in Norway and an MBA from INSEAD in France.

Bård Bringedal

Chief Investment Officer, Equities

    Bringedal is head of all conventional equity products within Storebrand Asset Management and has worked for the company for more than 15 years. Appointed to his current position in 2016, he is responsible for four investment teams, Norwegian equities, Delphi, Solutions and the Index&Quant respectively, as well as 19 portfolio managers.

    As head of equity investments, Bringedal is committed to building high-performing teams delivering on client expectations. Furthermore, integrations of sustainability into investment products have been a key success factor for Storebrand Asset Management in recent years, an area he supports with both experience and knowledge.

    Bringedal has held several management positions within Storebrand, previously as the Portfolio Manager of Equity Indexing and Quantitative Strategies.

    He holds a Master’s degree in industrial economics and technology management from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) in Trondheim and studied business administration at the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH). He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA, 2010).

    Boards: Board member on several of Storebrand’s International Private Equity funds.

Dagfin Norum

Chief Investment Officer, Fixed Income

    Norum has served as Head of Fixed Income and Investment Strategies at Storebrand Asset Management since 2016 and is also responsible for the defined contribution portfolios within Storebrand. He is passionate about creating value for clients, transparency in asset management as well as integrating sustainability into portfolio management.

    Norum joined Storebrand in 2009 and was appointed Head of Institutional Clients at Storebrand Asset Management in 2010. Prior to this, he held various positions of increasing responsibility in ABB Financial Services, SpareBank 1 Asset Management and Alfred Berg/ABN AMRO Asset Management, among others. 

    Norum holds a master’s degree in management from BI Norwegian Business School and completed various senior management programs at ABN Amro and Storebrand.

Jørgen Hjemdal

Head of Institutional Clients and Distribution

    Hjemdal joined Storebrand Asset Management in 2016 as Head of Institutional Clients and Distribution. He is responsible for marketing Asset Management’s products, designed for institutional customers and external distributors and advisers, within the Nordics and globally. Climate change, nature and biodiversity are key topics on his sustainable investment agenda.  
     
    Before joining Storebrand Asset Management, Hjemdal spent 18 years at DNB Asset Management heading global institutional sales. He has more than 30 years’ experience from financial institutions such as Nordea, Handelsbanken and JPMorgan as a portfolio manager, trader and client executive.  
     
    He holds a master's degree in international business from Thunderbird School of Global Management and an MBA from BI Norwegian Business School.

Sara Thea von Zernichow Sponheim

    Sponheim drives digitalization and change to continually improve customer experience at Storebrand Asset Management. She finds the interface between technology and people incredibly interesting and is passionate about client experiences and business developments.

    Since joining Storebrand as a project leader in 2007, Sponheim has held various positions within the company, leading client services and deliveries. She is a graduate of Lancaster University where she earned an M.Sc. in International Business.

Anne-Kristine Baltzersen

    Baltzersen is responsible for formal requirements such as company policies, group internal agreements, board meetings, coordination, and follow-up on Luxembourg AIFs. She is a dedicated and organised leader who ensures her team members prosper while producing good quality and on-time deliveries.

    Baltzersen joined Storebrand in 1989 and has held various leadership positions within the company, previously in the role as CFO of Storebrand Asset Management.

    She holds a Master’s degree in economics and business administration as well as an MBA with specialisation in finance from the Norwegian School of Economics.

Truls Nergaard

Head of Real Estate

    Heading the Real Estate unit, Nergaard is supporting growth initiatives and overlooking the investments, sales and portfolio developments at Storebrand. He is contributing to the company’s journey in achieving a leading position within sustainability in Real Estate.  

    Nergaard has a profound interest in real estate markets and development, and a broad experience from large financial institutions in Norway and abroad. He has held various managerial positions within the company since he became CEO of Storebrand Bank in 2010.  
     
    He holds a Bachelor's degree in management from BI Norwegian Business School and an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Arne Martin Moen

Head of Investment Operations and Technology

    Moen joined Storebrand Asset Management in 2015 and has held the position as Head of Investment Operations and Technology since 2020. Moen manages the teams responsible for Storebrand’s daily market operations and middle office analytics, as well as being responsible for the technology and IT platforms.

    The combination of finance and IT has always been of great interest for Moen, who is passionate about transforming and evolving the industry towards a digital future.

    Moen has held various management roles within operations and IT, and with more than 16 years of experience he has gained deep knowledge of technology and operations in the asset management industry.

    Prior to joining Storebrand Asset Management, Moen worked in Operations at Norges Bank Investment Management in Oslo, and at MSCI in London where he built financial risk management solutions.

    He holds an MBA in information systems from London Metropolitan University and a Bachelor's degree in computer engineering from the Norwegian School of Information Technology.

Spiros Alan Stathacopoulos

    Spiros Alan heads Storebrand Asset Management International Distribution team, based in Oslo Norway.

    He joined Storebrand Asset Management (SAM) in June 2017 as Director of International Business Development. Prior to SAM he was responsible for the Norwegian Wealth Managers team of Danske Bank.

    Spiros Alan started his asset management career in 2000, in Edinburgh Scotland. He worked for amongst others Blairlogie Capital Management, Britannic Asset Management and Resolution (now Abrdn). In June 2008 he was appointed Director of International Strategy and Clients at DNB Asset Management. He is an authorized financial adviser in Norway.

    Spiros Alan speaks fluent Greek, English, French and Norwegian and holds an MA in Economics, as well as an MSc in International Banking and Financial Studies from Herriot Watt University, Scotland.
